These two got married on a sparkly day back in February. It has taken me ages to get this post up – this year is flying!

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Elliot, but Sarah was just the sweetest lady. I have said it once and I’ll say it again – I have the best brides!

I made bouquets for Sarah and her bridesmaids, and some simple cake and hair flowers.

Sarah wanted to keep it simple with green and white and lots of texture, so we used dahlias, David Austins, bourvarida, tuberose, eucalyptus foliage and some other bits and pieces.

These photos were captured by the insanely talented Tim Coulson, without a doubt one of the best photographers in the biz. I feel so lucky to have photos of my work by this guy.

This beautiful wedding was also featured on Nouba a while back – you can see the full post and more pics here. It’s worth it just to see more of Tim’s images.

Thanks so much to Sarah and Elliot for including me in your day xxx

Donna and Brett were married at sparkly Shelly Beach, Manly, in September last year. Being an outdoors-y pair who love to bushwalk, they wanted to include Australian natives, especially flannel flower, in their bridal party flowers.

The bouquets included said flannel (I love those soft little guys), white waratah, eriostemon, silver tetragona nuts, cute mini gum foliage and kangaroo paw, as well as non-Aussie ranuncs, sweet pea, white anemone, hypericum berry and blushing bride.

The little pops of red flowers and red nails worked really well against the bridesmaids’ blue dresses.

The groomsmen each had a different buttonhole with a mixture of bits and pieces from the bouquets. Love making things not so matchy-matchy. It looks good.

took all the lovely shots above.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record but… I loved doing these flowers.

Congratulations to Donna and Brett. xxx

I am so lucky to work with such lovely clients. Josette is another awesome lady who gave me a pretty loose brief and let me run with it.

She and Peter were married at Cremorne Point in November… and we all know that November weddings = peonies. Right?

Gorgeous Josette and her stunner of a bridesmaid carried simple but full bouquets of peonies, David Austin and mini roses, kalmia and a touch of helleborus. I love using heaps of different elements in bouquets, but sometimes it’s nice to just scale it back and focus on one or two gorgeous, great-quality elements.

The photos were taken on the day by Cameron Bloom. I’m always so excited to see the professional pics of weddings I’ve worked on, and was over the moon when Cam sent me these pics. Guys like Cam make me look good.

It looks like it was a super happy day.

Biggest hugs to you, Jo and Pete x

Late last year I was lucky enough to be asked to provide some flowers for a gorgeous shoot at The Argyle and Sake in the rocks.

The shoot was organised to showcase some new bridal collection from the very clever and talented Moira Hughes – the girl is going to be huge, I can feel it!

The lovely Ashley from A Little Character was responsible for providing all the lovely vintage furniture and props, as well as styling the shoot. She’s awesome.

Photos were taken by Sarah and Stevie at Mint Photography. If you’re after a couple of lovely, down-to-Earth photographers for your wedding, call these guys. And their photos are be-yoooou-tiful!

Liv Lundelis did an amazing job on the girls’ (and boy’s!) makeup. This girl is everywhere at the moment, and with good reason!

Hair was done by Annie Johnson – again, a lovely lady and a real talent.

The stunners rocking the gowns are Jordan Murr and Renata Zareba, and the dashing fellow is Mike Neckoski.

Such a fun morning.

Keep your eyes peeled for more of Moira!

Clair & Willis were married in November at the stunning Gunners’ Barracks in Mosman, and were an absolute dream to work with. Clair sent me a few pics of bouquets that she liked, gave me a loose colour scheme to work within and really just let me do my thing.

So I was like, cool, I’ll just get a stack of coral peonies, billy buttons, stock, rhodo, garden and David Austin roses, hypericum berries and that cute little purple thing (I can’t remember its name… dammit) and jam em all together. And I did and voila! – 5 perfectly-imperfect, super-fun bouquets for wedding good times! I love the bright colours against the bridesmaids’ silver dresses, don’t you?

These photos are by Newcastle-based Something Blue Photography – their work is gorge.

Congratulations Clair & Willis xx
